The theme of SensUs 2017 was heart failure, a very important global disease. 10 teams from all over the world have designed and built their own biosensor for heart failure. We are very proud to announce that 8 of them had a working biosensor. We are looking foward to a succesful SensUs 2018!
For students, by students
An international competition
SensUs is a yearly international student competition on sensors for health. By involving students, industry, and academia we strive to accelerate the development of sensors for health for a better future.
During SensUs 2017, students from all over the world compete to make the best biosensor for NT-proBNP, a key indicator of heart failure. On 8 and 9 September 2017 the teams showcased their biosensors at Eindhoven University of Technology. Their biosensors were judged on multiple criteria such as performance, user-friendliness, and industry potential by representatives of academia, industry, and healthcare.
